Mast step/unstep
|
Cranage and Yard labour rates applies-As
a rough guide most masts attract a charge of between £70
and £90 each way up or down. |
|
When we unstep a mast we dress it for storage by removing the
spreaders and laying them alongside the mast then binding all
shrouds and spreaders together and placing on the mast rack.
Aerials are reversed and windex's removed and placed in the
yard office. When we step a mast, we reverse the aerial, and
lift it without the windex on - that is put on later using a
bosun's chair slung off the crane. We leave the mast secure
- we do not tune it.
